About this opportunity
The Dr. Steven Toner Math Award Scholarship is a one-time scholarship of approximately $1,500 offered to one college-bound financially needy student graduating from St. John Neumann High School in Naples, Florida. The scholarship is designed to support students with an interest in pursuing a career in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field.
Thanks to the generosity and Catholic Legacy of Dr. Steve Toner, this scholarship is administered by the Catholic Community Foundation of Southwest Florida. Students are nominated by the administration of St. John Neumann High School, rather than applying directly.
Eligible students must have completed all courses required for graduation, gained acceptance into an accredited college or university, demonstrated strong academic performance in and interest in mathematics, and shown interest in pursuing a career in a STEM field. Members or relatives of the Catholic Community Foundation staff, Board of Directors, Scholarship Committee, or Steven Toner are ineligible to apply.
