Dr Susan Rajee Koilpillai Memorial Prize in Family Medicine

The Dr Susan Rajee Koilpillai Memorial Prize in Family Medicine is awarded annually to a convocating student with superior academic achievement enrolled in the MD program at the University of Alberta. The recipient will be chosen on the basis of academic standing in courses taken relating to Family Medicine and interest in further study in the field of Family Medicine. This endowed prize was established by family, friends and colleagues of the late Dr Susan Rajee Koilpillai to cherish her memory and honour her devotion and commitment to the medical profession and patient care. Dr Koilpillai, a University of Alberta graduate, was a Family Medicine Practitioner at the time of her sudden and untimely death. The prize recognizes both academic excellence in Family Medicine coursework and a demonstrated interest in pursuing further study in this essential medical specialty.
