About This Opportunity
This Bursary is awarded in memory of Dr T. A. Neville (1904-1999) and is co-funded by the Neville Family and John Fitzgerald (UCC BE Civil, 1984). The Bursary aims to encourage participation and enhance the development of young student rugby referees for UCC Rugby and the Munster Association of Referees (MAR). The awardee will be an active member of UCC Rugby Club and MAR, refereeing and touch judging while attending MAR meetings and workshops during the season. Tom Neville's association with UCC RFC spanned seven decades, and he was conferred as Centenary President in 1974, which he recognized as the highest honor. The bursary continues his legacy of supporting rugby development at UCC.
