About this opportunity
The Dr. Terry McCormack Award is established at the University of Prince Edward Island by Dr. Terry McCormack, a proud alumnus and supporter of UPEI. The award supports a student from rural Prince Edward Island who has an expressed interest in healthcare and is in financial need. Dr. McCormack was brought up in rural Prince Edward Island and is grateful for the education he received at UPEI on his journey to becoming a doctor. He is a captain in the Canadian Forces and served in Afghanistan in 2008. He and his wife, Dr. Michelle Grzybowski McCormack, reside in Manitoba and make regular trips home to PEI. The award is available to students entering third-year or fourth-year from rural PEI who have expressed an interest in health care, have maintained at least an 80% average in the last two semesters of study, and demonstrate financial need.
