Dr W Garry (Gibber) and Dorothy Gibson Award for Excellence in Nordic Sports

Awarded to a student athlete with satisfactory academic standing in any year of an undergraduate degree at Augustana Faculty who is a member of a Nordic sports team. Selection is based on academic standing, the level of excellence and/or potential shown to develop in a sport, demonstrated leadership and embodiment of team spirit as determined by the head coach. Equal consideration for biathlon and cross country ski athletes is given. This award recognizes student athletes who demonstrate both academic achievement and athletic excellence in Nordic sports at the University of Alberta's Augustana Faculty.
