About this opportunity
The Dr. W. Harold White Memorial Scholarship is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student entering third or fourth year in the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary. The scholarship recognizes academic merit in the field of analytical chemistry, specifically based on achieving the highest combined marks in CHEM 311 - Analytical Chemistry: Quantitative Analysis and CHEM 315 - Analytical Chemistry: Introductory Instrumental Analysis. In the event that one course is not offered, a student with the highest mark in the remaining course may be selected. If there is no suitable candidate, the award will not be given out in that particular year. The scholarship was established by Dr. Terry White, Sixth President of the University of Calgary, and his wife, Mrs. Sue White, in memory of Dr. W. Harold White, a noted chemist and researcher.
