Dr. Wanda Thomas Bernard Leadership Scholarship

The Dr. Wanda Thomas Bernard Leadership Scholarship is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student enrolled in the Faculty of Social Work, BSW program at the University of Calgary. This scholarship recognizes Black students who demonstrate academic merit and have shown involvement and leadership in Black communities through extra-curricular activities. The scholarship was established by friends, family, faculty, and staff members of the Faculty of Social Work to honor Dr. Wanda Thomas Bernard's legacy and support Black students pursuing social work education. The award is valued at $2,000 and one scholarship is available annually. Applicants must apply through the My UCalgary Portal for Continuing Undergraduate Awards.
