Dr Warren Parker and Pāmu Agricultural Scholarship

The Dr Warren Parker and Pāmu Agricultural Scholarship honours the late Dr. Warren Parker's contributions to New Zealand's agricultural sector. This scholarship supports students entering their third year of agricultural studies who aspire to pursue a career in agriculture. The scholarship is funded by Pāmu (Landcorp Farming Limited), a State-Owned Enterprise managing over 100 farms across New Zealand. Recipients are selected based on academic merit, financial need, career aspirations in agriculture, and demonstrated participation or leadership in rural/agricultural community events or volunteer work. The award includes a summer work opportunity, providing valuable practical experience in the agricultural sector. Warren Parker had an outstanding academic career with a PhD in animal science, was previously a professor at Massey University, and held numerous leadership positions including Chair of Pāmu and roles in various agricultural research institutes and governance bodies.
