Dr. William Butler Physics Scholarship

The Dr. William Butler Physics Scholarship supports students pursuing physics at Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship is available to high school seniors planning to major in physics or current EIU freshmen/sophomores enrolled full-time in the physics program. High school applicants must provide recommendations from their physics and mathematics teachers along with a written statement documenting their intent to major in physics. The award is given to students who demonstrate high scholastic potential and are in good academic standing. The scholarship is payable in the Spring semester and the award amount varies based on available funding.
