About this opportunity

Trøndelag County Council provides operational grants and partnership agreements to support long-term and strategic development of culture and public health sectors at the regional level. Operating grants support organizations' ability to fulfill their societal mission. In cases where there are overlapping goals between the county council and organizations in the culture and public health areas, a partnership agreement can be established. Partnership agreements may involve financial instruments from the county council, but also other forms of support. Organizations must first obtain pre-approval to qualify for operational grants. This pre-approval confirms whether the applicant's activities align with regional interests and fall within the county council's areas of responsibility in culture and public health. Organizations must demonstrate regional value through either geographic criteria (serving multiple municipalities or having participants from multiple municipalities) or functional criteria (creating value through mission, size, professional weight, quality, and distinctiveness). Organizations that are pre-approved can apply for operational grants with up to four-year commitments, renewable upon reapplication. The program includes three forms of support: operational grants (annual funding with possibility of up to four-year commitments), partnership agreements (with shared defined goals, following regional planning periods), or a combination of both. Organizations must have been in full operation for at least one calendar year with annual reports and financial statements before grants can be awarded.
