Drammen kommune provides operational grants to voluntary organizations and associations with cultural purposes for children and youth. The grant aims to stimulate breadth and activity within amateur cultural life, with emphasis on outward-facing activities. The program contributes to good childhood conditions in Drammen by prioritizing cultural initiatives for and with children and young people. Organizations must be open to all and have more than 10 active members who are residents of Drammen municipality. The grant includes several components: a basic grant of NOK 3,000 per organization, membership support of NOK 300 per member, activity support calculated based on a distribution formula, and support for documented rental expenses up to 40% with a maximum of NOK 8,000 per association. Organizations must have been operational for at least one year to be eligible for operational grants, though newly started organizations can apply for a startup grant of NOK 3,000.
