About this opportunity
The Duchesne College O'Dwyer Family Residential Scholarship Bursary is part of the UQ Residential Scholarships Scheme at the University of Queensland. Established in 2021 by Patrick and Kate O'Dwyer under the Create Change Scholarship Match Initiative, this scholarship provides financial support to domestic undergraduate students experiencing financial hardship to assist with accommodation fees at Duchesne College. The scholarship is valued at $5,000 per annum (subject to annual distribution from the relevant fund and may vary in some years) and is awarded for a duration of three years. Two scholarships are available annually. Preference is given to applicants from regional, rural, or remote areas, and to those who are first in their family to attend university. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time in an approved program, be residents at Duchesne College, and provide documentary evidence of financial hardship. The annual distributions of the endowment support students with the cost of residential fees, helping to ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent capable students from accessing quality accommodation while pursuing their undergraduate education at UQ.
