About this opportunity
The Dudley Freeman Prize in Photographic Practices and History recognises and rewards the student who has written the most original, creative and interdisciplinary research essay on photography or photographic practices in an Art History course. The Prize was established in 2019 and was funded by Dianna Sutherland in memory of her late husband, Dudley Freeman, who had a lifelong passion for photography as a way of observing and communicating with the world. This prize is awarded annually by nomination to one exceptional student demonstrating excellence in photographic scholarship within the Art History discipline at the University of Auckland.
