About this opportunity
The fund was established in memory of Dumont M. Jones' father, mother, and brother, respectively. Dumont L. Jones, a WWII veteran, was chief engineer and co-owner of Fiberesin Inc. in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and died in 2005 at 82; Julia B. Jones was a school nurse and GED course instructor in Oconomowoc for many years prior to her death in 2010 at 80; and Philip V. Deines-Jones was an astrophysicist at NASA-Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland before he passed away in 2010 at 48. The fund provides scholarships for students majoring in engineering or computer science at Columbus State Community College. Dumont M. Jones, a software engineer, and his wife, Joan T. Muellerleile, a polymer scientist, live in Bexley, OH and established this memorial scholarship to honor their family members and support students pursuing technical education.
