About this opportunity
The D.V. Bryant Trust University of Waikato Residential Scholarship assists school leavers with proven academic potential who need financial assistance to attend university, and whose academic progress would benefit from accommodation within a hall of residence environment. The scholarship provides an accommodation credit of up to $10,000 for students commencing full-time undergraduate studies at the University of Waikato. Daniel Vickery Bryant established the D.V. Bryant Trust in 1921 with philanthropic and practical goals centred on the Waikato region. The D.V. Bryant Trust forged strong links with the University of Waikato when, in 1971, it established Bryant Hall on land leased from the University. The scholarship is specifically credited towards accommodation fees for either Bryant Hall or Student Village, supporting students in financial need to access university education with the benefit of a residential hall environment.
