E. Warner/D. Thornburgh Presidential Award in Journalism

The E. Warner/D. Thornburgh Presidential Award in Journalism is awarded to junior students majoring in Journalism at Eastern Illinois University. This award recognizes students with outstanding scholastic achievement (minimum 3.0 GPA) and exceptional character whose actions and conduct reflect positively upon the university. Financial need is considered after the field of candidates is narrowed to three finalists. Recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application in the university's scholarship system. This award is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed in the following Fall semester.
