About this opportunity
The Earl D. Foster Entrance Scholarship is awarded to a student graduating from Colonel Gray High School who is entering the Bachelor of Science Program at the University of Prince Edward Island. Preference is given to students pursuing a Math or Chemistry major who are involved in the community, with an admission average between 75 and 85%, and who are not already receiving a scholarship of $1,000 or more. The scholarship was established by Mr. Earl Foster, a retired educator who served 35 years in Prince Edward Island schools and holds degrees in mathematics, chemistry, and education. Mr. Foster created this scholarship through an annual donation to promote education and support students from Colonel Gray High School entering UPEI's Bachelor of Science program. He is active in the community through Y's Men International, supports the Christian church, and continues to tutor students in mathematics.
