Ed Golden Acting Scholarship

The Ed Golden Acting Scholarship honors the exemplary teaching career of Professor Emeritus Edward J. Golden by recognizing and fostering students with exceptional acting talent through scholarship awards. This scholarship is designated for Theater majors who are either sophomores or juniors and have demonstrated outstanding promise and commitment to the art of acting. Demonstrated financial need will be considered in the selection process. Final award decisions are made by a departmental awards committee, which considers all nominations in consultation with the Chair and Theater faculty and staff. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the UMass Amherst scholarship portal.
