EDF Power Solutions Dorenell Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund

The Dorenell Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund is provided by EDF Power Solutions to support charitable activities benefiting residents living in the communities of Dufftown, Auchindoun, Glenrinnes, Glenlivet, Inveravon, and Cabrach in Moray, Scotland. The fund receives approximately £447,000 annually, indexed to the Retail Price Index, with 20% allocated to each of four community associations and 20% available for cross-area projects. The fund supports community-led projects aligned with five strategic themes: Environment and Heritage, Community and Recreational Facilities, Local Economy, Housing and Sustainable Development, and Transport and Access to Services. Awards typically range up to £30,000, though strategic awards for transformational projects can exceed this amount. The fund also offers repayable grants for cashflow-limited projects and emergency awards for unexpected community needs. Applications are evaluated by a twelve-member Community Panel comprising representatives from each of the four community associations and residents recruited through open processes.
