About this opportunity
This award is available to full-time students who are members of the women's hockey team at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Recipients must maintain an academic requirement of at least 2.0 GPA (63%) or greater in the current semester. The award is specifically designed to support female hockey players pursuing their studies at NAIT while competing on the intercollegiate team.
The award is disbursed in two increments, in January and May, contingent upon the recipient maintaining academic standing. Recipients are selected by NAIT coaching staff based on acceptance into their academic program and acceptance onto the NAIT intercollegiate women's hockey team. The award amount varies and can cover up to $500 increments, with a maximum of full tuition and mandatory fees.
This is a renewable award that may be extended annually depending on the student's continued academic progress through their program and their continuation on the team. Students are automatically considered for this award with no application required. Final selection is made at the discretion of the Department of Athletics and Recreation.
