Education Opportunity Fund

The Education Opportunity Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships to traditional and non-traditional students who reside in Allegheny County. This renewable scholarship provides an average award of $10,000 over 4 years to support students pursuing higher education. The fund particularly focuses on supporting students who demonstrate financial need and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Preference is given to applicants who are first generation college students or who have been disproportionately affected by systemic barriers to educational achievement, reflecting the foundation's commitment to expanding access to education for underserved populations in the Pittsburgh region.
