About This Opportunity
The Educational Assistance Program (EAP) provides post-secondary education assistance to children of Canadian Armed Forces Members and Veterans who died as a result of military service or who died with a disability pension/award assessed at 48% or greater at the time of death. The program was originally introduced in 1953, discontinued in February 1995, and reinstated in November 2003. The EAP provides financial support for tuition, registration fees, and other educational costs at approved Canadian post-secondary institutions, along with a monthly allowance. Students must be enrolled as full-time students and can receive assistance for up to four academic years or 36 months. Eligible students must apply and enter the program before age 25, though assistance may continue until age 30 if initial approval was granted before age 25.
