Edward J. McAdam & Rena C. McAdam Memorial Education Awards - B.Ed. Practicum

The Edward J. McAdam & Rena C. McAdam Memorial Education Awards provide financial support to Bachelor of Education students during their practicum experience. Three practicum awards of a minimum of $500 each are granted annually - one for Elementary practicum, one for Secondary practicum, and one for French practicum. This award recognizes the dedication and commitment of B.Ed. students during their practical teaching experience. The scholarship was established through the generosity of Rena C. (Reid) McAdam, who passed away in April 2017. Rena was a graduate of the Prince Edward Island Hospital School of Nursing and, along with her late husband Edward, dedicated their lives to education, healthcare, and animal welfare. In her will, Rena made a significant gift to UPEI to establish scholarships for Education and Nursing students, reflecting her lifelong commitment to supporting learners in these vital fields.
