Edward J. McAdam & Rena C. McAdam Memorial Nursing Scholarships in Community

One scholarship will be granted to a student in their second year of study in the two year Accelerated BScN program or their fourth year of study in the four year BScN program who is in good academic standing and has demonstrated community leadership and volunteerism while maintaining satisfactory clinical practice. This scholarship was established through a bequest by Rena C. (Reid) McAdam who passed away in April 2017. Rena was a graduate of the Prince Edward Island Hospital School of Nursing and served on the board of the Terrae Bay Hospital. Along with her husband Edward, who predeceased her in July 2005, they were devoted to companion animals, education and support to the QEH in Charlottetown. The scholarship honors Rena's legacy and her commitment to nursing education and community service.
