Edward J. McAdam & Rena C. McAdam Memorial Nursing Scholarships in NURS4010

Two (2) awards will be granted to students graduating from the two year Accelerated BScN program or the four year BScN program who have completed NURS 4010 (Nursing and Population Health) and have demonstrated competence and collaboration in working with a population-based approach. These scholarships honor Rena C. (Reid) McAdam and her husband Edward. Rena was a graduate of the Prince Edward Island Hospital School of Nursing and served on the board of the Terrae Bay Hospital. Edward and Rena were residents of New Dominion, PE and spent many years in Terrace Bay, Ontario. Rena and Edward were devoted to companion animals, education and support to the QEH in Charlottetown. Rena was very generous in her Will, leaving a considerable gift to UPEI to establish scholarships for Education and Nursing students, and support to AVC for companion animals.
