About This Opportunity
The Edwin W. Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Attorney Joe Brown to honor his father, Edwin W. Brown, who was an athlete from 1918-1920. Mr. Edwin Brown was named to the First Team All-State football team after helping the Greensburg High School team capture the 1920 state football championship. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship opportunities for senior varsity letter winners of Greensburg Salem High School. The scholarship is designed specifically for graduating seniors from Greensburg Salem High School who are varsity letter winners and reside in Westmoreland County. Preference is given to student athletes who demonstrate athletic achievement and academic merit. Students must be nominated by a member of the school faculty to be considered for this award.
