About this opportunity
The Efficiency East Midlands Foundation provides grants to support projects in Leicester/shire, Rutland, Derby/shire, and Nottingham/shire that address employment barriers faced by disadvantaged groups. The fund focuses on three key areas: supporting social mobility through training or mentoring for people facing exclusion through poverty or disadvantage; building life skills such as confidence, financial literacy, digital skills, communication, problem-solving, and resilience that help people into work; and enabling employment pathways through pre-employment training, CV/interview workshops, apprenticeships, volunteering-to-work schemes, or support with job applications. The priority focus is on young people aged 16-25 who face disadvantage affecting their access to employment opportunities, as well as women, people from the global majority, and those who have experienced homelessness or the criminal justice system. Successful applicants are expected to deliver their activities between 1st January and 31st December 2026.
