Efficiency East Midlands Foundation

The Efficiency East Midlands Foundation is a grant-giving fund managed by Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation that supports community projects and local charities working on employment skills, opportunities, and social mobility. The fund prioritizes young people aged 16-25 who face disadvantage affecting their access to employment opportunities, with additional focus on women, people from the global majority, and those who have experienced homelessness or the criminal justice system. Projects must support social mobility through training or mentoring, build life skills such as confidence, financial literacy, and digital skills, or enable employment pathways through pre-employment training, CV/interview workshops, apprenticeships, and volunteering-to-work schemes. The program supports organizations in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire/Rutland that are working to reduce barriers to employment and help people overcome the effects of poverty on employment readiness.
