The E.H. Sumners Foundation Scholarship is awarded to residents of Attala, Carroll, Choctaw, Montgomery, or Webster counties in Mississippi who attend Mississippi State University. This endowed scholarship supports undergraduate and graduate students from these specific counties who maintain good academic standing. The scholarship is awarded on a yearly basis with amounts varying based on available funds. Students must submit the E.H. Sumners Endowed Scholarship Application and have their residency verified by the E.H. Sumners Foundation. Recipients must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours for undergraduates, 9 for graduates). Undergraduate students may receive the award for up to 8 semesters, while graduate students may receive it for up to 4 semesters. The application must be resubmitted each academic year, with deadlines of September 15 for fall entry and current students, and February 15 for spring entry students.
