About This Opportunity

The EIC Transition is one of the instruments of the European Innovation Council Work Programme, part of Horizon Europe. This program supports the maturation and validation of novel technology in the lab and in relevant application environments through prototyping, formulation, models, user testing or other validation tests. It also supports the development of a business case and business model towards the innovation's future commercialisation. Proposals must build on results from EIC Pathfinder, FET Flagship calls or ERC Proof of Concept projects. The program aims to validate and demonstrate technology in an application-relevant environment and develop market readiness, helping applicants prepare for the next stage whether that's applying for EIC Accelerator, seeking other investors, entering licensing agreements, or other routes to market deployment. The expected outcome is increased technology readiness (TRL 5 to 6) and market readiness, with projects positioned for commercialisation. Projects funded through EIC Transition are eligible to submit an EIC Accelerator proposal via the Fast Track scheme.
