About this opportunity
The Elaine M Grierson Scholarship is a $6,000 per year undergraduate scholarship supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. Established in 2016 through the generous donation of Elaine M. Grierson, this scholarship aims to support Indigenous Australian students pursuing careers in physiotherapy. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and a personal statement detailing the applicant's reasons for their degree choice, future career goals, and how the scholarship will help achieve those goals. Preference is given to students who can demonstrate financial need and/or are entering the second year of their Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) degree. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. The scholarship is tenable for the full-time duration of the recipient's degree, paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
