Elbridge N. and Stephana R. Townsend Scholarship Fund

The Elbridge N. and Stephana R. Townsend Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 by William Townsend to support newly admitted students at the University at Buffalo. This scholarship is available to first-year undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in the School of Engineering or Applied Sciences. Recipients must demonstrate a strong academic record and have documented financial need. Preference is given to mechanical engineering majors who are from the Western New York area. Awards can be up to $5,000 and are designed to help academically talented students with financial need pursue their engineering education at the University at Buffalo.
