About This Opportunity

The Eleanor Griffin Collins Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Mr. Howard E. Collins in memory of his wife, Eleanor Griffin Collins, who was active for many years at Centenary United Methodist Church. Mrs. Collins's service to the church included membership in the Wesleyan Service Guild, Love Circle and Sunday School. She graduated from East High School and studied Business at Franklin University, and also served as Street Captain for the Alum Crest Acres Association. This scholarship supports members of Centenary United Methodist Church who plan to pursue post-secondary education with a focus on liberal arts, business, or science. The award provides a minimum of $500 to help students attend educational institutions in the United States. Candidates must be active members of Centenary United Methodist Church and demonstrate intent to pursue higher education in one of the specified fields of study at a U.S. educational institution. Interested applicants should contact the church directly for the current year's deadline and application procedures.
