About this opportunity
This award is to honor residential school survivor Elise Ominayak whose only known school record is Whitefish Residential School. Through this award, her name is now presented with dignity and celebration of her strength. Her great grandaughter and NAIT alumni, Veronica McRae, hopes this award will be an encouragement for the recipient to continue to blaze a new trail for her family. Available to Indigenous single mothers enrolled in any business program at NAIT. Awarded on the basis of a written statement detailing the applicant's personal journey to post-secondary and satisfactory academic achievement in the most recent term. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
