About This Opportunity

The Elizabeth Burgoyne Hudson Postgraduate Research Scholarship is a stipend scholarship for research students within the Sydney School of Veterinary Science to undertake research in the area of small animal medicine. Established through a bequest from Elizabeth Burgoyne Hudson in 2018, this scholarship supports higher degree research students pursuing Masters by Research or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. The scholarship may be awarded as either a primary or supplementary scholarship depending on the recipient's circumstances. Primary scholarships provide an annual stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) rate for up to 1.75 years for Masters by Research or up to 3.5 years for PhD recipients. Supplementary scholarships provide $10,000 per annum for the same durations. Applicants must apply and be considered for the Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarships and must have an unconditional offer of admission or be enrolled in full-time studies within the Sydney School of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney. Selection is based on academic merit, area of study, and research proposal, with the successful applicant nominated by the relevant delegated authority in the Sydney School of Veterinary Science.
