About This Opportunity

The Anchor Society's emergency grant giving program enables older people in the greater Bristol area to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Grants of up to £1,000 support those in financial need with the cost of home repairs and adaptations, mobility aids, decluttering, home furnishings and more. The program is designed to help older individuals aged 55 and over who live in the Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area. Eligible applicants must apply through a referral organisation - direct applications from individuals are not accepted. The grants cannot be used for general living expenses, debts, travel, holidays, insurance, funerals, clothing, or cleaning services. The Anchor Society partners with organizations including the John James Bristol Foundation and St Monica Trust to deliver this emergency grants program.
