Emergency Loan

Interest-free emergency loans are available to full-time graduate students at the University of Waterloo who are experiencing short-term financial difficulty. These loans are designed to help students manage unexpected financial challenges during their studies. The loans are not meant to provide funding for arranging fees in order to become registered. Students must repay the loan by the end of the term and provide proof of an acceptable form of repayment. This financial aid option is open to both Canadian/Permanent residents and international students on study permits, enrolled in any graduate program at either the Masters or Doctoral level.
