About this opportunity
The Emerging Black Voices Scholarship is offered annually by the University of Calgary to support Black students in the Bachelor of Social Work program. The scholarship provides $2,000 to a continuing undergraduate student enrolled in their second year in the Faculty of Social Work, BSW program. The award recognizes academic merit and extra-curricular activities demonstrating involvement and leadership in Black communities. This scholarship is funded by Friends, Family, Faculty and Staff Members of the Faculty of Social Work and aims to support emerging voices within Black communities pursuing careers in social work.
