About This Opportunity

The Emeritus Professor David Beanland AO Scholarship was established by RMIT and Emeritus Professor Beanland in 2014 to provide support and encouragement to Engineering students at RMIT. This scholarship provides financial assistance to Bachelor of Engineering students who can demonstrate academic achievement and other circumstances which impact their study. The scholarship aims to help students focus on their studies rather than dividing attention between coursework and part-time employment. Students may also participate in volunteer activities and extracurricular opportunities that provide valuable personal experience and skill development. The scholarship is named after Emeritus Professor David Beanland AO, who was Vice-Chancellor of RMIT from 1992 to 2000 and Director of RMIT Vietnam from 2000 to 2004, and became an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2001 for service to education.
