Emily Lilias Johnston Scholarship

The Emily Lilias Johnston Scholarship was founded by a bequest from Emily Lilias Johnston in 1931 for the establishment of scholarships in which male and female students should share equally. This scholarship is designed to assist students in the last year of their first Bachelor's degree at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship fund is awarded equally between male and female students, alternating each year between male and female applicants. The 2026 round is intended for female students, including cis-gendered and trans-gendered applicants. The scholarship has an approximate value of $1,000, subject to funds available, and is awarded for one year of tenure.
