About this opportunity
Two bursaries, valued at $10,000 each, will be provided annually to undergraduate students who identify as women, enrolling in Year One of any program in the Faculty of Engineering in which women are underrepresented. Selection will be based on academic excellence combined with demonstrated financial need as determined by Waterloo. This fund is made possible by a donation from Emily Powers to support and encourage women to pursue careers in engineering. To be considered, students must complete the University of Waterloo Entrance Bursary application by April 15. This entrance bursary is specifically designed to support and encourage women entering engineering fields where they are traditionally underrepresented, providing financial assistance based on both merit and need.
