About this opportunity
The Emmons Family Scholarship is awarded to select students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee who demonstrate engagement in the activities of the Roberto Hernandez Center or in the activities of other UWM or community-based organizations that support Latino/a communities. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, demonstrate financial need, and have achieved sophomore standing or higher. This scholarship recognizes students who are actively involved in supporting and engaging with Latino/a communities through campus and community organizations. The scholarship is renewable until graduation for a maximum of four academic years total, contingent upon the recipient maintaining eligibility criteria and fund availability. The annual award amount is $2,000, with an anticipated total of $8,000 over the full four-year term.
