About this opportunity
The Engineering Access Scholarship is a $3,000 scholarship designed to support currently enrolled students in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney who are experiencing financial hardship. Established in 2024, this scholarship has been generously funded by the Faculty of Engineering to assist undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students who have completed at least one semester of study.
The scholarship is awarded based on demonstrated financial hardship through supporting documentation and a personal statement explaining the applicant's circumstances. The award is provided as a one-off payment upon receipt of the Scholarship Acceptance form.
Recipients must be Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, or New Zealand Citizens currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree (including combined degrees) in the Faculty of Engineering. Applicants must not be recipients of any other scholarship at the time of application.
The scholarship aims to reduce financial barriers for engineering students at the University of Sydney, enabling them to continue their studies despite economic challenges. The award is subject to the availability of funds and is administered by the Associate Dean (Education) of the Faculty of Engineering or their nominated delegates.
