Engineering Excellence Scholarship

The Engineering Excellence Scholarship provides £2,000 per year for each of the first three years of study to new students studying a School of Engineering undergraduate programme at the University of Southampton. The School of Engineering aims to foster a diverse generation of people who will change the perception of future engineering achievements. This scholarship is offered as part of the University's Widening Participation scheme to applicants from under-represented groups and students with contextual offers. There are 10 scholarships available through a competitive application process. Eligible students must have received a course offer from the School of Engineering before the scholarship closing date and must pay UK tuition fees. Applicants cannot be in receipt of any external scholarship equal to or more than their tuition fees. The selection process involves three stages: eligibility checking, scoring of academic records from UCAS applications, and final panel review of supporting statements alongside academic achievements.
