About This Opportunity

The Envato Foundation Indigenous Scholarship is part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship Scheme at The University of Queensland. Established in 2025 by a gift from the Envato Foundation, this scholarship supports the education of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who can demonstrate financial hardship and are participants in the InspireU program. The scholarship provides $7,000 in financial support, though this amount is subject to annual distribution from the relevant fund and may vary in some years. It is available to both future and current UQ students enrolled in any coursework program at undergraduate or postgraduate coursework levels. Applicants must be Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons enrolled in any coursework program at The University of Queensland and participating in the InspireU program. Selection considers demonstrated financial hardship, personal qualities including leadership potential, academic ability, and other factors relevant to future academic success. The scholarship is awarded for a duration of one year, with the number of awards varying annually. Applications are accepted through a single online application form that considers applicants for all scholarships in the Aspire Scholarship scheme, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme, and the UQ Residential Scholarship scheme.
