About this opportunity
This scholarship supplement provides financial support to high-calibre students working toward a master's or doctoral degree in the atmospheric or meteorological sciences or related fields. The supplement is designed to promote graduate research in the atmospheric and meteorological sciences at Canadian institutions, encourage and support graduate students to carry out research of interest to Environment and Climate Change Canada, increase contacts between Environment and Climate Change Canada researchers and Canadian institutions, and promote training of potential candidates for possible future employment at Environment and Climate Change Canada. The supplement provides $5,000 in additional funding to recipients of Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Master's (CGRS M) or Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Doctoral (CGRS D) awards who are studying or planning to study atmospheric or meteorological sciences in a recognized program at a Canadian institution. Recipients must provide a brief progress report to Environment and Climate Change Canada at the end of the award's tenure. The supplement is not automatically renewable but recipients may reapply.
