About this opportunity
The Environment Entrance Bursary is a financial aid opportunity offered by the University of Waterloo to support incoming undergraduate students pursuing studies in the Faculty of Environment. This bursary is specifically designed to assist students with demonstrated financial need who are entering their first year of study.
Valued at up to $4,000, the bursary is awarded annually to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Year One of any program within the Faculty of Environment. Eligible programs include Climate and Environmental Change, Environment and Business, Environment Resources and Sustainability, Geography and Aviation, Geography and Environmental Management, Geomatics, International Development, Knowledge Integration, and Planning.
To be considered for this bursary, students must have a minimum admission average of 80% and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and must be Ontario students applying to post-secondary studies for the first time on a full-time basis. The application process requires completion of the Entrance Bursary application form, which is available through the Waterloo application portal on the Awards and Financial Aid tab.
The application period runs from February 1 to April 15 annually. This bursary represents the university's commitment to making education accessible to qualified students who require financial assistance to pursue their environmental studies.
