Environmental Student Research Project Support Fund

The Birkbeck Environmental Student Research Project Support Fund is intended to support project-related expenses for taught master's students who are exploring environmental issues as part of their dissertation or independent research project, on any programme. This may include fees to access specialist databases, or travel to field sites, archives or labs. The fund will incentivise environmentally sustainable choices, which are often not the most economical choice. For example, in the context of travel, air fares may cost far less than train journeys in Europe. There may also be other scenarios such as the increased expense when sourcing sustainable materials to create a prototype or educational artefact. Awards of up to £750 will be available on a competitive basis to support students in making sustainable choices and to complete impactful research.
