About this opportunity
The EPSRC Doctoral Landscape Award offers talented researchers the opportunity to join the thriving community of leading researchers within the School of Mathematics at the University of Leeds. These highly competitive studentships provide full coverage of fees together with a tax-free maintenance grant for 3.5 years of doctoral research. The program is designed for budding mathematicians to become innovators in their field, with training and support provided throughout. Applicants can either apply through linked projects in Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, or Statistics, or submit their own research proposal. The School of Mathematics at Leeds achieved 98% world-leading research in REF 2021, and students will benefit from an active research environment, close industry links, professional skills development, and comprehensive personal wellbeing services. Selection is based on academic merit through a competitive process, with candidates automatically considered for both EPSRC Doctoral Landscape Award and School of Mathematics Scholarship Competition.
