EPSRC Industrial Doctoral Landscape Award: Design of the Next Generation of Environmentally Friendly Skin Care Formulations Supported by AI

EPSRC Industrial Doctoral Landscape Awards are linked to specific projects and offer highly competitive funding opportunities in collaboration with external industrial partners. This specific award focuses on the design of next-generation environmentally friendly skin care formulations supported by artificial intelligence. The award provides comprehensive funding including full academic fees, a tax-free maintenance grant, and an additional annual top-up for 4 years. Recipients will work closely with a business partner on an industry-relevant challenge, building professional networks and completing at least 3 months' worth of placements with the industrial partner. The placement can be arranged flexibly to suit all parties and does not need to be taken as one continuous block of time. The program provides full training and support from both the University of Leeds and the industrial partner. Applicants must be Home fee-rated students who have not already been awarded or are not currently studying for a doctoral degree. The award is available for new postgraduate researchers undertaking full-time or part-time research study leading to a PhD degree. Awardees must live within a reasonable distance of the University of Leeds while in receipt of this scholarship and must take up the award by 1 September 2026. The award is renewable annually for up to 3 years beyond the first year, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
